This summer I am very excited to be working with my friend Patricia Ridenour to put on a workshop in underwater figure photography. The class is offered through Photographic Center Northwest and takes place in mid/late July. Here’s the blurb from the course catalog:

Take your camera beneath the surface in this introduction to underwater photography. Learn techniques for using your camera underwater, work with models in a pool, and explore this unique approach to photographing the human figure.

There will be two classroom meetings and two days in the water, broken down as follows:

• Friday July 16 6:00-9:00pm. Classroom session to introduce technique and make plans for the time in the water.
• Saturday and Sunday July 24-25 12:00-4:00pm. In the water! Having two days back-to-back is extremely valuable as the photographers will have the chance to immediately refine anything they did on the first day.
• Friday June 20 6:00-9:00pm. Classroom session to review shots from the previous weekend.
